Oded Maron,

I have no idea who you are, faculty, graduate or undergraduate. Regardless, it is a real shame you have made no effort to find out more about the JRSummit, before your ridiculous e-mail.

The AI and the Media Lab has a long standing competitive and even cynical relationship, which is just fine -- itUs good for us all and is part of what MIT is. We sometime say funny things, nasty things and good things about eachother, but rarely are they stupid.

RToys of TomorrowS is not only NOT putting on the JRSummit, they have had nothing to do with it. If you had tried to inform yourself, you would have found 5000+ children from 125+ countries, trying to do something very different than you suggest. Since the effort is meant to be eventually MIT-wide, you might consider finding out a bit more from Justine Cassell or Annette Tonti, rather than remain a blemish on some pretty good criticism and humor between our labs.
