With the end of the millenium now somewhere between 11 and 23 months away, many are turning their sights toward the future. How will technology change the way we live, the way we work, and the way we interact with each other? I propose to submit myself as an experimental text-based Internet humanoid, the first to live his life openly over e-mail. Much like the Jennicam that you've all no doubt heard about on either Oprah or Sally Jessie, my every move will be available to a community of people brought together by the Internet.

>From this moment forward I will report on my status via an e-mail to "all-ai." Updates will be sent as necessary, but certainly every hour with an executive summary at the end of the day. A "digest" version will be available shortly.

Without further delay, I present my first entry:

NE43-737: I am sitting at my desk typing an e-mail. Despite our refrigerator issues, GSB must go on. I will soon leave for the Wine & Cheese Cask in order to purchase the B in Benefit.

GSB. 7ai. See you there.

I have to go to the mens room. Will report back afterward.
