And the night brought forth great wonders of food and filled the house with aromas. Onions, chicken, split pea, pumpkins, apples, and, of course, sour cream whirled in delight and danced the dance of the Hungarian cook. The chefs were blessed and from the kitchen poured forth multitudes of pasta and chicken paprikas. Cucumber salad and bread leapt from the cutting board. >From the kettles sprung split pea soup and the oven gave birth to pumpkin pies and apple crisps. Yes, all was good. And so the graduate students took the creations and shared them with their friends on the 8th floor playroom at one quarter of an hour past midday on the twenty-ninth of September in the year two thousand. And life was good.
