Ah, the fall semester. New students have arrived. Old students get even more cynical as they remember just how long they've been here. Regardless of your feelings about another semester, with Reg Day comes the promise of free food. Gone are the days of wandering aimlessly on Fridays, begging for scraps of food from faculty members. GSL is back!

For those of you who have not yet experienced GSL, let me explain. GSL, Graduate Student Lunch, is held on every Friday that classes are held, usually around 12:15. Three students get together to cook lunch for the rest of the students. Senior students will be more than happy to tell you how much fun it is to cook for 100. The long hours, the lack of sleep, the failed attempts, the burned rice... except for the burned rice, it's a lot like writing a thesis.

There will be a sign up sheet at GSL for the rest of the term. Form your groups. Sign up. Cook food. Feed the masses.

Let me reiterate: GSL must be home cooked food. Pizza is not acceptable.

Unless it's the first GSL of the year.

GSL today, 12:40pm, 8th floor playroom.

Bertucci's pizza (they lost our order, but we've recovered)
    Beverages
    Ice cream treats
Brought to you by the new GSL czar, Mark Foltz, with a little help from his friends.

Faculty members are welcome to attend. (We won't make you wait for leftovers.)
