The eagerly-awaited K I C K B A L L portion of the olympics takes place this evening, at 6:30 PM, on the MAC court, at the Z-Center.

K I C K B A L L is what the olympics are all about: nominally athletic, yet actually mostly silly and chaotic. Naturally, scoring is computed using a log-linear model:

$T = \sum_i log [r(i) + 2]$

Where T is the team's final score, summed over all players, where r(i) is the number of runs scored by player i. Logs will be computed in a base to be determined later, at the discretion of the commissioner.

Two teams will be formed by merging existing teams based on numbers (e.g., Back-to-God vs. Star Jones; GodWars vs. Back-to-Indiana, etc). We'll play until 7:30 or 6 innings, which ever comes sooner.

More rules are available online: http://www.stanford.edu/group/Intramurals/kickballrules.html . Additional rules may be created at the discretion of the commissioner. Random steroid testing will be conducted both before and after the game.
