thanks to his hacking prowess, we now have a celebrity in our midst. over the
past three months, andrew ``bunnie'' huang successfully reverse engineered a
popular game console* and put his findings on the web. now, anybody with a
few household items like an Opencores wishbone-compliant I2C interface and an
Emulation Technologies S-TS-SM-040-A Socket can run linux, macos, or those
good old atari 2600 games on it.
after this hit the wires last weekend the world was shocked -- astonished --
jubilant at the news. let's sample some reactions:
``"Bunnie" is Cool'' -- dmschuep
``I guess this guy isn't into chicks. Doesn't he have anything better to do
than to break [game console] codes ?'' -- deutoplasm
``HIRE THAT GUY!!!!!'' -- phyllisdriver
``He's a very bright star it seems to me. So of the derogatory comment about
him and what he did sound like Luddites who fear science and achievement. We
in America have our own Taliban of ignorance: some religous zealots, some
non-religious Luddites. It is really a shame that so many young people are
encouraged by the media to admire Barry Bonds over someone like this. Who
contributes more to America and will enrich this society more over their
lifetime? The answer is obvious.'' -- tvisawasteland
the answer *is* obvious. let's toast bunnie's present and future
contributions to America at this week's
