Star crossed lovers: CSAIL and Sloan

We at GSB present a story of star crossed lovers, lovers from different
sides of the tracks; love between a CSAIL student and a Sloan student.
We join the CSAIL student and Sloan student at the end of their first
date:

CSAIL Student: I had a great time! I think we should see each other
again.

Sloan Student: I don't know if that will be possible. Your position has
been eliminated from my strategic profile.

CSAIL Student: What do you mean?

Sloan Student: I mean your particular skill set is no longer relevant to
either my short or long term needs.

CSAIL Student: But, I thought we were interested in each other?

Sloan Student: Well, I've done a post-mortem on our strategic
partnership and have opted to go another way going forward.

CSAIL Student: Don't you want to at lest keep possibilities open for
another date? Perhaps as friends?

Sloan Student: My research indicates that the needs of the two
principles are divergent enough as to make any further merger
discussions less than appealing or appropriate.

CSAIL Student: What crazy-talk is this, Sloanie?

Sloan Student: Continuing the status quo for no other reason than
convenience is a recipe for disaster rather than success.

CSAIL Student: Ack, I give up. I think I'm better off going to
commiserate with my coworkers at this week's edition of...
