Topical Halloween ideas:
You could go as a sad mime with a Yankee's hat. Or maybe you feel
politically motivated, you could go trick or treating in swing states as
the grim reaper and tell people if they vote for Bush you'll revisit
them on Tuesday night. "Trick or treat!!!" You could even combine the
baseball and political theme and go as Schilling, you could hobble
around on crutches and tell people to vote for Bush but not actually do
anything about it because you need to go to the doctor. As a bonus you
can get a cute nurse to attend to your injuries (but not to cute because
you are impersonating a Born Again Christian after all).
Or maybe you're just lame, then you can get a bald head thingy and go as
a haggard PhD student who just pulled out all their hair (bonus points
for actually pulling out your hair).
For the intellectually inclined you could dress up as a recently
deceased French Postmodernist, e.g, Jacques Derrida or perhaps an ailing
world leader currently visiting France.
You could also just show up at a Halloween party and light the place on
fire and break stuff in celebration of the World Series. Or just dress
up as Ron Rivest to honor him for decrypting the curse by throwing out
the first Red Sox pitch (http://web.mit.edu/spotlight/reverse-curse/).
Or you could go as a GSB message by taping lame top ten lists (some
disguised as pros. ehhmmm) and factitious quotes attributed to world
"famous" academics (Pete Szolovits says, "That's my favorite type").
