To whom it may concern,
I would like to notify you of the upcoming Girl Scout Benefit in the
honor of Beer. As tradition this fine substance is consumed on (at
least) a weekly basis in the company of our finest friends and coworkers
(that includes you bone head). We formally invite you and your
relations (unary, binary, ..., n-ary) to partake in the festivities
presented herein.
This tradition stems from an age old ritual of graduate students
conversing in the presence of Beer and unlike most names and traditions
this one actually stems from truth. Once upon a time there was a young
maiden by the name of something or other and her parent
someonelse-or-other who had something to do with the AI Lab. This fine
maiden was in a Girl Scout Troupe that was collecting bottles for the
deposit refund. Lo and behold their happened to be an excess of beer
bottles around the AI lab after a wild and raging fall picnic.
Unfortunately, the picnic was neither wild nor raging enough, because
many of the bottles still had their original contents (the ones with new
contents will be ignored for the purpose of this notice). A solution
was clear, the first Girl Scout Benefit was enacted.
We now, formally invite you to partake in this age old tradition in this
weeks ...
