Hi Max. I was one of the dozens of folks who met you during the SIPB
computer tour. I'm a Knight Fellow, and I'm starting a working group
called "Technology and Erotics," and I wondered if you -- or some folks
you know -- might be interested in participating? Let me know if it sounds
intriguing. Here's the official call for participation:

Technology and Erotics Working Group

This working group will give participants a chance to
investigate the erotic underpinnings of scientific
inquiry and engineering. We will discuss everything
from the sensuality of interfaces and hot little
engines to the feelings of arousal associated with
neural prosthetics, networking technologies, and
hacking. Activities will include public discussions,
colloquia, and possibly planning a small conference in
the spring. Participants are free to steer the
direction of the group in ways they find seductive and
intriguing. We are open to your ideas! If you
are interested, contact Annalee Newitz

hello annalee,

on behalf of the den mothers, i would like to invite you to our own 
`technology and erotics' working group (we call it `girl scout benefit').  we 
hold it every friday at 5:30 pm on the seventh floor of building ne43.  we 
discuss many of the same topics as your group, such the sensuality of matlab 
and our codependent bondage/dominance relationship with emacs.  we also 
consume high quality beverages for grownups.
