Pesky Germans

in other countries it's a matter of life and death, but in the united 
states it mainly sells minivans.  it's soccer, and the world cup of 
soccer has gripped the world with some amazing games.

for anyone who hasn't heard the us played a great game this morning 
against the team of seven foot tall germans who spent most of the match 
passing the ball around with their heads.  one of those heads poked it 
in the goal and team usa lost 1-0 but was a hand's breadth away from the 
equalizer in the second half.

now maybe mike oltmans will get some sleep and will stop wearing the 
team usa soccer jersey he's worn every day for the past three weeks (to 
the relief of his officemates).

let's cheer the team usa for giving it the old try and wish luck to all 
the remaining teams (except the seven foot germans) at this week's
