Buckets of Change

In case you missed the news, the T has announced what it would have to
cut if they don't get the money they say they need. Basically they would
run at rush hour and then cut service at night. Oh and fare hikes too.

What other ideas can we come up with to cut expenses, maximize public
outrage, reduce usage (increasing pollution), and make the T less useful?

- Heat the cars in the summer and cool them in the winter. More energy
efficient that way.
- Only run trains inbound in the morning and outbound at night. Everyone
works downtown and lives in the suburbs.
- Don't stop trains near Fenway or the Garden when there are sports
games or events. The extra people just slow trains down and they are
usually drunk.
- Use the old change buckets from the turnpike at MBTA garages and
require people to pay for the ($7) parking in quarters. This will speed
parking exits and eliminate the need for cashiers.
