Technology is a fickle mistress. I say we all move back to the trees.  
I remember when I lived in a tree. Back in 1278, when I was a  
blacksmith working for the king of France. It's been nearly a  
millenium, so I don't remember too much of that time. All I remember  
is that there was a tree near my forge that I usually spent the night  
in. It was pretty tall, so that was nice. One night I fell out,  
though. After that I was able to foretell the future. Of course, the  
future has come, so that little "trick" of mine is done. Dammit, I  
guess I can't abandon technology yet.

Anyways, my original goal in writing this email was to tell you about  
the free cake at this week's
