[csail-related] GSB Tonight: Happy New Year.

Another Summer has come and gone, and since schools decide to switch years
at the wrong side of the calendar, I suppose that means it's New Years [1].

For all you new students, faculty, and staff out there, I'll be brief: Once
a week, at the end of the week, we go upstairs to the 9th floor and relax,
reflect upon the week, and after maybe 10 minutes or so [2], we return to
work [3].  I will send out an email every Friday to remind you of your
obligation to attend [4], so "forgetting" is not a valid excuse.

So let's welcome our new students (etc.) to this country, coast, state,
city, or lab (depending on how far away they came from) at this week's:

[4] There will be a test at the end of the semester worth 80% of your final
grade.
