[csail-related] GSB Tonight: Privacy

This week GSB will be a bit different.  We're instituting a new rule!

In order to enjoy the conversations and collaborations that happen at GSB
[1], you will be required to bring your main laptop.  The laptop's contents
will be thoroughly scanned and filed in a large database only we have
access to and only we control.  No worries about security: we'll be using
your SSN as a key to the database record with your HD's contents, so no one
will be able to figure out it's _your_ goat porn on there [2].  Further, to
ensure that we can help you help us help yourselves help us all, we're
going to install a few programs to monitor your use of the computer.
 Again, no need to worry--these are lightweight programs they won't take
all your resources; you'll hardly notice that they're there [3].

Today at GSB we're also going to play a few games, so it will be quite a
different beast this week!  Let's all talk about all the good reasons you
should trust governments, companies, and corporations [4] with all your
personal data at this week's:
