What does it mean to "beat a game"? My brother sent me a speed run of The
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Unbelievably, the player in the video
"beat" the game in just under 23 minutes [1]. Certainly he didn't beat the
game in the spirit of playing it, but he did get to the end and beat
Ganon's final form.
Let's talk philosophy at this week's:

[1] For comparison: when I was younger it took me about 80 hours to beat
the game when it first came out.
