Oh, man.  Can you believe it's already been another year?  I can't [1].
 I've been here too long ...

Well, seeing as reg day has come and gone [2], I think our summer break is
over and we should start up GSB again.  Welcome new students!  For those of
you who don't know what GSB is, it's a really really fun activity where a
bunch of graduate students collect on the 9th floor of the G tower and go
through the motions of raising money for the girl scouts [3].

It's true!  The Girl Scout Benefit has been around for decades and goes
well back to the days of the AI lab. The original girl scout -- the one our
predecessors raised money for -- is probably in her 40's now as a matter of
fact.  In short, it's a noble effort by our community, and everyone is
encouraged to participate.  Just ask your adviser! [4]

Let's try to figure out how the Boy Scouts of America can be so
discriminatory against the LGBT community [5] while Girl Scouts are such
champions for members of the LGBT community [6] at this week's:
