Call for Papers:

The First International Symposium on SuperModel Computing

Sponsored by: The Media Lab Revlon The Gap

There has been growing interest in the area of making SuperModels even more attractive. Originally, it was thought that making their clothing smarter (as in the recent First International Symposium on Wearable Computers) would help. Alas, no matter how many LED's were stuck on Naomi's bustier and no matter how many voice-activated actuators were attached to Marky Mark's Calvin Klein underwear, the SuperModels did not become more attractive. The next step is clear: instead of making clothing that computes, compute with the SuperModels themselves.

Acceptable paper topics (partial list):

- Anorexia: A reversible computing system using SuperModels.

- Gating networks made of "I don't know" shrugs: head to right shoulder = high, head to left shoulder = low.

- Lightweight processes and lightweight SuperModels.

- The Intelligent Room vs. the Intelligent SuperModel.

- SuperModels on Mars: Fast, Cheap, and in high heels.
