Diary entry for March 22, 2000:

Today we continued our slog through the wilds of Spring Break.
Although our numbers are greatly reduced, morale is high among those
who remain.  Although spirits were flagging after yesterday's critical
IBC shortage, a chance discovery today allowed us to fill several
bottles from an IBC well; resultingly, there is no danger of a
root-beer shortage this evening.

On a sadder note, one of our number, Jamie, broke away early from
yesterday evening's repast, venturing solo into the wilds of Spring
Break with a mention of "going on a date."  Those who remain mourn her
passage; we pray that she returns quickly, and, God willing, with
dates for the rest of us.

In the meantime, all we can do is gather once again at the rendezvous
point for tonight's....
