MSG: GSB 1 Date: 09/16/87 16:08:01 From: AGRE at AI.AI.MIT.EDU Re: Common Lisp Beer Standard We have received word that Texas Instruments has submitted a proposal to designate Lone Star Beer as the Common Lisp Beer Standard. This is serious. Want to know what Lone Star Beer tastes like? Well, imagine two dozen sweaty cowboys. Then just imagine the sweat. You got it. An ad hoc committee has been hard at work on an advanced beer system called CommonBrews. CommonBrews will be unveiled at this week's Girl Scouts' Benefit. It has two modules. * Static beer. Good ol' beer. A dollar a shot. * Dynamic beer. Really interesting beer. Two dollars a shot. This week's dynamic beers will include highly recommended brands from Belgium, Scotland, Jamaica, and Australia. Experienced beerologists will be on hand to help out, so don't be shy if you've never tried anything fancier than Moosehead. If we have a good turnout then CommonBrews will be incorporated into the Common Lisp standard. The Girl Scout Benefit happens every Friday at five in the 7th floor playroom. It's a tremendous way to meet people, hear gossip, and drink fashionably. Please come!
