	and Probabilistic Inference Techniques in AI

AI debates comparing the relative merits of determining the
relevance of statements in a knowledge base through "meta"
knowledge vs. using statistical inference are common.  In this
talk we show that they are six of one, 3! of the other, and
both sides have been marking up the wrong trees.  To put our
thesis simply: One man's Meta is another man's Poisson.
