CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Workshop on the Management of Digested Data
Sponsored by
GSL Computer Society-TC on Dental Systems
The AI Playroom, NE43, 8th Floor
Friday, May 18, 1990, Noon
You are invited to attend the last GSL Workshop on the Management of
Digested Data, which will be held Friday, May 18th at the usual
location. This workshop will bring together students, researchers and
developers interested in the various problems raised by the management
of digested data in distributed research groups. Possible topic areas
to be addressed include:
* Experiences with cavity-tolerant management of digested data
* Recent advances in digestion control protocols (Pepto-bismal)
* Efficient buffet queueing strategies
* Identifying significant levels of palatable consistency
* Estimating the overall reliability of distributed research groups
that depend on digested data,
* Commercial application of digested data and GSL services
* Current technologies (how they work, what they are suitable for)
To maintain a true workshop setting, attendance will be limited to
around sixty active graduate students in the field. Potential
attendees should mail eight copies of a two to four course GSL menu to
Reid Rubsamen, the program committee chair, by April 15, 1990. This
proposed menu should describe the required ingredients in sufficiently
detailed quantities that automated robotic preparation of the meal
should be possible using off-the-shelf technology. The authors should
mention possible insights and lessons gained from recent research and
practical experience.
