AI REVOLTING SEMINAR Asai Dov Boeuf Wellington College Finding Palatable Relations in the World to Match our Appetites Abstract I will take a close look at the interface between culinary language and palate-based cognition, at the structure of food groups, and at the processes we use to pick a theme that describes a given configuration of foodstuffs. The resulting picture of culinary language use will explain how a few lexical terms, in concert with a shared perceptual and cognitive geometry and topology, can provide a system rich enough to communicate with precision about the locations, shapes, orientations, and paths of free lunches. The effectivness of this means of communication will be demonstrated in a lab-wide experiment on Friday December 7th. All parties to this communication should assemble in the normal location at the appointed time. Hosts: Lynne Parker, Ivan Bachelder, and Amnon Shashua.
