The race to 9G

All this talk about elevators and scheduling and queueing got us
wondering... How quickly (or slowly, as the case may be) do you think
you get get to the 9th floor of the G tower in building 32? Tonight,
we're going to find out. We've decided that there are three reasonable
possible fastest routes. Therefore we will divide in to four groups:
three to run the race, and a fourth to time them and determine a winner.
The first group will start at the base of the G tower and summon a
"normal" elevator. The second will summon the freight elevator. The
third group walk to building 54, take the elevator there to the top
floor, get up on to the roof of the building, and wait while the remote
control helicopter that the CSAIL MERS group has delivers one end of a
zip line to them. Once they've properly secured the zip line to
building 54, they will slide down it to the other end, which will have
already been secured to the roof of building 32 (trust us). The fourth
group will relax in the 9G lounge enjoying frosty beverages and, maybe,
timing the first three groups.

Learn what team you'll be on, meet your opponents, and prepare for the
big race at tonight's:
