No College -> No Grad School -> NO HOCKEY!

You went to college right? Here's some prerequisite reading:

If you went to college you probably just skipped that link because background reading sucks. I'll bail you out (just this once) here's the summary:

Don't go to college! It's a waste of money, at least from a purely financial standpoint (there's little/no mention of the intangible benefits of wasting your braincells). The point is that tuition is so high, that you are better off investing your tuition in the stock market and getting a lesser paying job.

To me this is ludicrous. My main argument is that it is really really hard to get into grad school without a college degree (really hard!). Without grad school you will never get so many free lunches, and flexible schedules. Where on earth would you ever learn to play hockey (if you want to learn we can hook you up by the way just mail me) or get to chuck super balls down stairwells, make movies, race your friends down the hall in office chairs, or sit around with your friends on Friday evenings with relaxing libations? And did I mention the hockey? All of this is lost without your college education. Missing all of that?!?! Now thats a bad investment(*).

So come cash in on your investment at tonights, Man it Gets Dark Early Edition of...

(*) Note: being in grad school only yields the option for these activities, you still must exercise your options for this investment to pay off. Given the current lab market, right now is a good time to exercise your options. See you Tuesday night at Hockey, and see you in January when my team kicks your team's butt in the Olympics.
