I do have the strings program. However, finding ways to examine the
text inside Word files when we get them doesn't sufficiently address
the problem that Word files cause. We need to push back against the
practice of using Word format for communication.

Microsoft has designed the next version of Word format so that it can
use patents to forbid free software from supporting that format. (See
