Den Mothers of GSB Creed

Many of you may have seen and maybe even attended the talk from Captain 
Nick Montalto on the 75th Ranger Regiment. And I got to thinking that if 
the Rangers can have a creed why can't we.
So without further ado I give you the slightly modified version making 
it the Den Mothers of GSB Creed.
The Den Mothers, composed of a dedicated by light weight crew, is the 
premier social unit of CSAIL. Headquartered in 239 in Stata, the Den 
Mother's mission is to plan and conduct special social missions in 
support of CSAIL policy and objectives.

Recognizing that I volunteered as a Den Mother, fully knowing the 
hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the 
prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Den Mothers contingent.
Acknowledging the fact that a Den Mother is a more elite student who 
arrives at the cutting edge of research by elevator, stairs, and 
meandering corridors, I accept the fact that as a Den Mother my lab 
expects me to move farther, faster and more socially than any other student.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally 
alert, physically strong and socially active and I will shoulder more 
than my share of the task whatever it may be.  One-hundred-percent and 
then some.
Gallantly will I show the academic world that I am a specially selected 
and well-trained student. My courtesy to faculty, neatness of my bottle 
cap collection and care of equipment and GSB supplies shall set the 
example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the anti-socialites of my lab. I shall 
socialize them on the couches of GSB for I am better trained and will 
chat and discuss with all my might. No more beer is not a Den Mother 
expression. I will never leave a dry student to fall into the hands of 
their antisocial lab mates and under no circumstances will I ever fail 
to embarrass myself or our lab (particularly by missing an opportunity 
at mocking well established institutions who could kick our butts).
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to carry on the 
GSB objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
