In celebration of the vernal equinox, the Guild of Spirits and Brews will be
hosting its annual harvest festival in the tower court of Stata castle. A
troupe of morris dancers will join us in a dance around the maypole. The
Waytes of Theoryshire will perform preludes, and the Quire of Visionbury
will lead us through some classic madrigals and chorales. A jousting
competition will also be held. Any strapping, young lad who cares to have a
go can win a kiss from the fair Princess Gwenlillian.
Proper attire is required! Gentlemen must wear breeches, a cape, and hose.
Ladies must wear a long dress with girdle. Daisy chains will be provided for
extra festiveness. Proper etiquette and chivalry must be followed at all
times. You should address those of higher rank by "my lord" or "my lady".
You should not try to talk to elves as they do not speak your language and
they are not interested in you anyway. Any breach of authenticity (such as
calling someone John if they prefer to be called Aethelwulf) will be
punished with a stay in the pillory.
Finally, we must prepare for our fall campaign over the vile duchy of
LIDSwood. Our astrologers have been in communion with the forest spirits,
and now is the time to expand the CSAIL kingdom. You will receive newly
forged armor and swords, divide into units and be assigned an office to
sack.
