In a press release issued this morning NEAUM (the New England 
Association of Unionized Mice) announced a free and safe spa day at MIT 
CSAIL's Stata Center.  Negotiations over the amount and quality of food 
left out on counters, tables, and desks and the increased competition 
from grad students for the scarce resources broke down last Monday when 
Union leaders and CSAIL officials could not come to a satisfactory 
agreement.  As a result NEAUM leaders have instituted a new floating 
policy to be in affect from 5am-7am on the morning of April 25th. 
During this period mice will have free and ready access to CSAIL toilets 
and urinals without fear of unexpected privacy invasion or flushing. The 
spa day will feature open baths, showers, and gift baskets for the use 
of NEAUM members.  Jack Costanza (Assistant Director of Infrastructure) 
was unavailable for comment on the decision of the union and the failure 
to come to an agreement.  As a result, Lab officials are advising 
students, faculty and staff to refrain from using the CSAIL toilets and 
urinals during the above mentioned times.

We just received notice that MIT Facilities plan to shut down the flushing 
water to our toilets to accomplish some much needed work.  Please see the 
following for the details.  They have tried to schedule the work for the 
least disruptive time.
