Top 10 Inauguration Observations:
10) President Bush is gone.
9) Lots of people and no arrests. I read some great stories about
people running up the down escalator at crowded subway stations chanting
"yes we can." People were also helping to pick up the mall after the
inauguration to kill some time before trying to get home. Nice.
8) Lots of cameras. I saw Vice President Biden taking some photos at
the inauguration for Malia. Seemed like everyone was holding a camera
above their head. Now that cameras are so tiny I guess everyone can take
photos all the time. I'm sure the Secret Service loves screening all
those cameras.
7) Speaking of the Secret Service, they actually do have a sense of
humor. The named the new presidential limo / tank "The Beast." And I
wonder if the anti-sniper snipers use iSnipe (seriously, google it).
6) Pretty good speech. I liked the parts about facts and science. The
last bit was nice too. I'm sure everyone had their favorite part.
5) Aretha can sing. And had a cool hat.
4) The White House web page changed over at noon, but they can't
update it easily because all the computers at the White House are old
and have out-of-date software.
3) The oath (x2) and Chief Justice John "no-notes" Roberts. Vice
President Biden tried to make a joke about it the other day when he
forgot he was supposed to swear in some more senior staff. President
Obama did not look pleased with him. At all.
2) Vice President Joe Biden has a ridiculously large... . . . .
bible. Seriously that's a monster.
1) Discussing everyone's favorite parts at this week's....
